It's universal. Your tax dollars/pounds at work. Ran aground????? How do you "run aground" in the newest submarine in the world?

"How do you "run aground" in the newest submarine in the world?"

Simple you run out of water.

My last visit to Birmingham I got lost, but only because I was using a ten year old map!

What worries me is there's going to be another six of them bumbling around.

Well,

Never thought about it in those terms. I've always had plenty of water.

I did try to put a touch of irony in my reply, read the press releases.

I hear the color scheme of those subs are white with red stripes.

I was looking around for the naval signal flag "red white stripe" I'm sure it's quarantine, but I found this instead.

Royal Navy destroyer meeting up with an US destroyer in mid-Atlantic during World War II. The US ship is flying: Church pennant over Interrogative. Not having such a signal in its signal book, the Royal Navy ship asked by addis light what the meaning was. The US destroyer replied: GOD WHERE AM I?

Not before the UK government have spent another £ billion getting it in a saleable condition, or as usual refitting it and then scrapping it.

saleable condition.. you mean adjusting the white/red stripe to make it red maple leaves? And attaching a tow rope, just in case ("Emergency Backup Propulsion System"). Of course it will cost a billion pounds extra.

on my post yes, thank you..since my battery was dying on my cell phone... I would like to clarify that post as a comment that the brits seemed to have difficulty with the design of their subs.

If any of you had ever served in the RN, you might have made a possible further explanation for the sub running aground.....

If anyone is actually interested, just ask me here for the explanation.

In the meantime I will try and find a link to substantiate my (future) comments....
