How's It Done :-)

12/23/2010 8:23 PM

Okay, Friends and Associates

A friend sent me this link ... one of those "guess your number" sites.

So, the question is simple ... How is it done?

Two of the questions are meaningful; the others are distractions. Picking the color in the "magic square" narrows the number down to 5 choices; picking the house cuts it down to one. (The numbers 26-30 in the houses are just filler.) Picking the door is a cute but bogus gesture; the program simply plugs your number into the door you pick. (It could put your number behind all the doors, but actually it puts two other numbers behind the unchosen doors.)
