I'd say that whoever named your village had quite the sense of humor.

Happy New Year.

I don't under stand why my post was deleted when I have read other posts that were as "overly religeous or political" or MORE so than any of my posts. I have even seen posts that were VERY off subject and offensive posted... not deleted.

Not very objective screening!

The 'western' New Year is an orbital related calender event.

It's non denominational.

CR4 is a world forum.

It's non denominational.

Understand the above and you will understand it was a very objective decision.

My comment WAS VERY non-denominational compared to some of the comments I have read in these forums.

That is why I questioned the censorship of my comment...

If it's the comment I remember, it is an OLD Irish blessing for good fortune. I cannot comprehend why anyone would have objected.

Oh, well. What's done is done, and it will not keep me from reading and learning from these VERY informative, diverse and, at times, entertaining forums.

It's no big deal to have a post adjusted, censored or deleted. Nor should that happening deter you from participating.

However as you don't seem to be seeing 'what went wrong', which may result in a re-occurrence - (and this thread is 'quiet') - so a few thought on that - bearing in mind I have no part in the deleting decision making process;

"I cannot comprehend why anyone would have objected"

Your post centered on Jesus. So as a Christian you may see that as "non denominational" in the internal Protestant/Catholic/etc sectarian sense.

For all other religions/denominations, Q1.is; "What has Jesus got to do with it?"

Q1. for CR4 Admin; "what will happen if the other religions/denominations take umbrage?"

Q2. and/or, "see it as a precedent to post their equivalent 'blessings'"?

So policy is (or has had to become); all such potential "1's and 2's", from any religion in the world, are deleted - or engineering would no longer be able to be discussed.

I hope this clarifies "why" and that it was 'even handed'.
