Gas flow , bunrer basic , digarams

hey everyone.

I am fresh grad. I am looking to understand how temperature is maintained by a gas burners. I am trying the understand the basics . Can some one give me a link to some book or something so i can get the basics right. I am in maintanence deppt so if some one could post some useful links about the automatic burner control. I did google though but could nt find in detail. Any help is much appreciated.

my experience has been with the red, green and blue

red=fireeye

green=eclipe

blue= honeywell

honeywell has the lion share, but fireeye never seems to fail

You first need to understand the control loop (sensor, controller and final control element).

See Lessons In Industrial Instrumentation', By Tony R. Kuphaldt:

It is a large book which contains total 1082 pages. I found it very informative for the control system. The real control system starts from Chapter 5, Page 166.

There is one important thing to note for the gas burner. The air to gas ratio has to be controlled for the optimal burning. There shall be also a flame detector to confirm the presence of the flame.
