34.5kV/380V Transformer / Switchgear Vendors

01/14/2011 2:09 PM

I can't seem to find many (not shady looking) vendors that supply transformers with a secondary rating of 380V. The plant area I am looking at requires around 4-5 MW of power at 380V, which doesn't seem like a popular choice.

My questions:

1. Any good reliable vendors that provide transformers with 380V secondary as part of their regular line of products (not custom built solutions)?

2. What are some standard transformer sizes and switchgear current ratings in this voltage range? Wondering how many I will need then because I've been told that 380V switchgear is usually rated for 4000A, which corresponds to 2.6 MVA. i.e. I'll need atleast 3 transformers to serve the area load.

Again, I can't seem to find good vendors for 380 V transformers and switchgear, where I can look up this information.

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This ought to be fairly commonplace among European manufacturers, or anywhere that 380/3/50 systems are typical.
