Dear all
We are doing Development for melting turning and milling
scarp.
Process Called:
Aluminum melting process
Turning
and milling scarp Melting process
Spec:
Aluminium
Thickness: 0.05mm
Density
:90kg/m3
Normal Process:
If we
melt directly with crucible or refractory furnace 30% will burn out to oxide and become a dross

Turning and milling scarp Melting process
Spec:
Aluminium Thickness: 0.05mm
Density :90kg/m3
Normal Process:
If we melt directly with crucible or refractory
furnace 30% will burn out
to oxide and become a dross.
our aim:
To get 83% of yield in aluminium so that we
used a chemical for melting
Process :
In a refractory furnace
melt following salt
Sodium Choride
Merato Potash
Calcium floride (or) florospar
In a molten salt bath immerse the
turning after pre heating 200'C.
Problem We faced :
a)After melting
salt to liquid stage we added aluminium scarp,as soon as we added
aluminium scarp.salt bath become semi solid.
The
requirement for us, chemical should with stand 700'C mean while it should not react
with aluminium and it should be stable. So that every time we add aluminium in
furnace it should comes out in outlet value,But the chemical should be
stable. the density of aluminium is higher then salt we feeding inside the
furnace. So the aluminium goes under the salt so there will no be dross. But we failed in trail.kindly do the needfull for us
Pls
suggest a suitable economical salt for this process.
