Why does the 3 way valve keep failing on my domestic heating system,

resulting in no hot water.

Why, I've no idea, and as Tornado has said, you give no detail. Who is Mr. Garrett?

But I'm surprised it fails to no hot water, presumably you still have heating? The ones I'm familiar with fail to HW, and go to HW if HW and room-stat are both calling (except mid-position type).

Is it the valve or the actuator that keeps failing?
