New WPS or PQR is Required

in Job Existing welding joint is groove now the supplier doing Butt joint welding . for that any need for WPS, PQR, or WPQR.

Isn't a groove weld just a form of butt weld (as distinct from a fillet weld)? If anything, a beveled butt joint ought to be superior. But it might still be a relevant variable within the code you are using.

any changes in groove design would call for WPS/PQR to be requalified.
