There are one or two types of cable available today (well quite a few really). A cable has many parameters (which I believe is what you were after, but I am not going to mention them all here).

Try looking at some cable datasheets from various cable manufactures using the internet.

As a side note do you actually mean cable, wire or conductor (there are big differences between them).

Oh alright here are a few parameters - Voltage, cross sectional area, width and length. How do you find the length of a cable, why it's twice the distance from the middle to either of its two ends.
