A Student Question

I have a Final year project with a title "Study of piping network" but what to do in design work,which software will be best in analysis and design?

Lined paper, a pencil, a pencil-sharpener, an eraser and a pocket calculator would be good hardware. The software comes from the course previous years' study materials.

Because people get offended when you remind them that all school work should show proper integrity. That and also my comment is not directly answer the question "which software should be used?" I think I originally OT this myself because of this. (I wish I could see the vote totals.)
