Dear Friend, NACE is basically a company which provides its services on making a corrosion control system. So NACE has a certain standard practices that suggests appropriate coating to be applied on carbon steel to make it corrosion free. Background of what NACE is? About NACE: NACE International is the leader in the corrosion engineering and science community, and is recognized around the world as the premier authority for corrosion control solutions. NACE International was originally known as "The National Association of Corrosion Engineers" when it was established in 1943 by eleven corrosion engineers in the pipeline industry. These founding members were involved in a regional cathodic protection group formed in the 1930s, when the study of cathodic protection was introduced. With more than 60 years of experience in developing corrosion prevention and control standards, NACE International has become the largest organization in the world committed to the study of corrosion. Standard Practices: NACE standard practices are methods of selection, design, installation, or operation of a material or system when corrosion is a factor. This class of standard may provide details of construction of a corrosion-control system; methods of treating the surface of materials to reduce requirements for using corrosion-control devices; criteria for the proper operation and maintenance of a corrosion-control system; methods for the proper use of corrosion-control techniques; procedures for increasing the effectiveness, safety, and economic benefits of an installation or system; procedures for proper use of an installed corrosion-control system to prevent its deterioration; or other practices requiring a description of techniques or control parameters for a system.
