a small energy input is doing a small output, the rest is potential energy being turned into kinetic energy in an entertaining way.

It's a cool video (I think my favorite bit is the "walking" windscreen wipers). But the energy input is not so "small". Each time something falls or gets an assist from a battery? That's potential energy at work, my friend.

The Nissan commercial was even better....

This was not about a small amount of energy doing a large amount of work. Instead, it was about small amounts of energy triggering stored energy from batteries, springs, elevated heavy objects, etc. Other than being cute, there are no great revelations here.

Maybe it's apocryphal, but I've heard tell there are places in the world where if you shout too loudly you can start an avalanche. A very small explosion can certainly release a lot of energy from a rockslide. But nothing is gained (except a pile of ice or rock).

Energy saved is energy generated.

Cute. Nothing to do with a small amount of energy doing a lot of work, but cute. Think energy-work equivalence.

Could someone please explain how they were able to make the tires roll up the ramp?

.... that and the exaggerated travel of the speakers ruined it for me.. RUINED!
