Bearing Lubrication

02/15/2011 8:48 PM

The bearing numbers on my motor lable plate are 6210-2z-j/c3 and 6310-2z-j/c3. My question is are these sealed bearings requiring no periodic lubrication or do they need greased. Thanks

Look in the SKF or any other bearing manufacturer data index and all will be revealed.

Sealed bearings (2Z - both side sealed) are with grease inside for its lifetime.

C3 is Radial internal clearance.

6210 2Z is designed for a speed rating of 7000 rpm with C3 ranging between 18-36 μm.

6310 2Z is designed for a speed rating of 6300 rpm with C3 ranging between 23-43 μm.
