02/21/2011 6:36 AM

Dear Sir,

I am making 3 phase induction motor test bench which will be intended to test 0.37kw to 30 kw motors. Test to be conducted are

i) Insulation test

ii) High voltage test

iii) Winding resistance test

iv) No load test

v) Block rotor test

Can any one suggest me the procedure to follow to conduct the above mentioned test

What will be the Pass fail criteria for all the above test

I need help very badly.

For you to have asked the questions I don't think you should even consider building your rig. You're not competent.

Sorry to be blunt, I'm just considering your safety.

In my last job I had a 250KW test bed, all the electricians were trained to use it!

Er, the tail is wagging the dog here. If the tests are not covered by requirements, then how on earth is it possible to write a procedure that will cover the requirements and the pass/fail criteria <rhetorical question>?

Which is another way of saying, let the requirements dictate the procedure and the criteria. So, what is driving the need to establish such a facility, and what does it ask for? Once that has been established, the procedures and pass/fail criteria can be determined from the established requirements.

The help comes from the Client, not CR4.
