To Upgrade Or Not To Upgrade , That Is The Question

02/27/2011 12:13 AM

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is on offer at the moment. I have heard that it is not sorted out yet.

Any advice?

Looking at the supposed "fixes" which it proposes, it doesn't seem to be very beneficial to the average home user. Previously, I have always updated as soon as the update becomes available, but similarly to you, I have heard the new W7 update makes the operating system a little less stable... I would say, that if you are happy with it at the moment, wait before updating until everyone else has found the problems for you and then update in a few weeks time.

As with many upgrades, I always ask, Is this an answer for which there was no question? Cheers, Geoff.

That is such a novel idea... But it seems strangely familiar.

I was of the air for a few days and could not respond. Thanks all.

Maybe the policy of m$ is to introduce bugs or brakes into W7 to force us to upgrade to W8.
