Who Started CR4

03/08/2011 10:07 AM

Like all the scientists who wonders with the genesis of everything. I do feel the same in a manner of asking a questiön like 1. Who throw the 1st question or discussion on CR4 2.Who answered 1st that 1st question 3. Would there be anyone in admin itself to answer questions when non of the members available or interested? WHO ARE THEY?

Thread http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/1 was posted by mgaulin at 3:41 P.M. on 10 December, 2004. That thread did not have a comment until 20 March 2008.

Curious. I don't come here very often anymore (rules at work; only during lunch, when I'm usually doing something else), but I joined in 2005 and posted my 1st comment in April of '05.

I know there were many posts on CR4 before mine -though not for that thread, I guess.

I though it odd that it took so long for anyone to respond, but CR4 was just an infant.

Noudge's question, "2.Who answered 1st that 1st question" is partially answered in #1. A check of the thread will reveal the name of the responder (who has not visited us since July 2008).

Here we are today, 2,274 days later at thread #66,749 and comment #70,411.

Good find Doorman. Just keeping up with what's going on here now is pretty time consuming. I've delved into the past a little. It's interesting...........if you read some of those old threads for awhile, you forget that they are in the past.......at least I do.

My post didn't answer the OP, just figured he'd want to see that too.

Nice find Doorman - WOW, over 4 years for a reply/comment to be posted!

OK, just curious, mgaulin posted on 12/10/2004 with 385 posts and 5 GA's racked up.

Then comes tomkaighin on 3/20/2008 with 332 posts and 1 GA under his/her belt.

I'm assuming these were not the very first posts/thread.

Is there a link available to the very first CR4 post/thread?

I have searched first post, first CR4 post, first thread, first CR4 thread, ect., I was unable to find anything.

It would be neat to see!

The link in #1 IS the very first thread at CR4. If you read the link, it ends with /thread/1; this is where it fits in the numerical memory of CR4. The second thread at CR4 can be found by selecting 'Next in Forum', which takes you to

http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/2/Insultingly-Stupid-Movie-Physics

(If you take the link in #1 please note there is not a 'Previous in Forum' link, indicating there are NO previous threads) #2 was posted by Chris Leonard, (who is CR4 member #2) and was a short conversation between Chris and Mark.

For an interesting journey thru CR4, take the link in post #1 to the beginning, and simply take the 'Next in Forum' ride. Pretty enlightening.

Oh, and Noudge asked who answered that first question... he did not ask who was the first responder to any thread. That can be found in #2.
