I Hate Instrumentation

03/14/2011 5:48 AM

Note: I am not blaming to anybody. After reading this, If any one hurted I am very sorry. I want to share my feelings to all, and choose this is the right platform.

I don't know, why Industries wants only experienced persons. Freshers did not get any opportunities without any references. Why?

I am very struggling to find right Job in the field of Instrumentation. Of course, I got job in one of the most popular MNC Company as Shift In charge in production Dept. But, I resign the job after doing one month. Because, for every person Job satisfaction is must. With out job satisfaction, the Job is useless, even we got good salary. I can not put my full effort to do that Job. That's why I resigned that.

My experience tells, with out any reference we do not get any Job. To explain this reason, I want to share my one of the experience. For do my 6 months Academic project, I approach all Industries (at security gate only) around my city. No one can not give permission to do project with out references. They ask references like Employee, working in that Industry or MLA,MP etc. I was surprised…then, how an ordinary student will do the project in industries.

I don't know why Industries want only experienced or reference candidates. If, they want only experienced candidates, then how freshers will became experienced one.

After searching the jobs in Instrumentation field (with out references), I am realized that, They are several training institutes are there for freshers, in Instrumentation field with providing 100% placement. Course fee is about 40-50,000(very huge!!!).One of my friend join in that. But, after completion of course, they provide sales man job with 5000 salary. Then, why we spent money in those institutes. I have a doubt, really, they will provide good placement for me. I am confusing now to select the best Institute providing Placement and which course can have more opportunities now(Automation or Lab view or In tools or AutoCAD etc). Unfortunately each course is about 40-50,000.

Please. Any one can suggest me. Is my thinking is correct or not. How to get job in the field of Instrumentation. Which course and institute is best in India.

I don't want to waste of my time. I have a lot of interest in by learning new things in Instrumentation field. So, I am spending time to do that. But, I think it is waste..why I am always think about Instrumentation…Why I will learn always these things. Till now,I did not give any Job. That's why I Hate Instrumentation.

You should have lined up your new position before resigning the previous one, even if it was unsatisfactory. (Unless there was gross misconduct in the previous organization, in which case you were just unlucky.)

You would be amazed at how many people don't like their jobs. I would say over 50%. Some people spend a lifetime in jobs they don't like.

You should have kept the job you had. At least you were gaining experience in something besides job hunting.

As a fresher, getting any job should be your priority, not getting your dream job. You might as well adjust your attitude, and do any job you get to the best of your ability, and learn what you can. Otherwise you will spend much of your life disappointed.

It's nothing to hate about. If you really want to do it in the field of instrumentation, get a training. Grab a starter job, even as a sales coordinator or in sales, what wrong with that? You will probably learn more and have a great experience in sales, especially when you are in an instrumentation business. You can learn all the package there, from power supply, processes, controllers, enclosures, wiring, conduiting, down to any field instruments. Learn all you can on the field. Most instrumentation engineer ends up in sales, when they are promoted to higher position, like manager or president of a company if it gets lucky. It all ends up with sales (business). Instrumentation guys are the workers for the sales engineer.

Don't expect a higher wage at a beginner job. What is important is experience. Once you spend about minimum 1 year or 2 year, then go look around for an instrumentation job, it will be easy by then.

Here's a forum that may be more suited to your needs, and you'll maintain your inexperience as long as you continue to hold a job for a month and then quit!

Having a job that gives you the financial means to put a roof over your head, fill your belly and provide the necessities of life is not useless. And the continuous quiting of jobs which you work short term because they do not full fill your expectations. Looks bad on your work history.

Why a company would seek to hire people with experience may be due to the over abundance of people trained in that field of work. Just because the person has the knowledge from an education. I does not give him the skills that hands on work does. Why as an employer would you want to spend the months in training some one new if you don't have to.

Not to mention, I would imagine that it's hard to find a job, when your reason for leaving all previous jobs, is that they just weren't up to par in contributing to your happiness.

I agree. What if a little sometime you found yourself unhappy because of some reasons. Best better reasons if i would be your employer, one is ambition-treating the job as a starting step towards higher power is a desirable trait. Could also be for the sake of family's needs and/o7 togetherness-dont want to work too far from home is also a good reason.

I am not Agree with you.Why because, If company takes recruitment, with out any references, then it will provide 2-3 years bond and take his certificates also.So that we can never quit the Job until bond is over. So,It is not big problem when Company takes only reference candidates.

Re: I Hate Instrumentation

I have disliked every job I have ever had, mostly because I cannot get paid (enough) to do what I actually enjoy; eating, camping, fishing and sex. In fact if I ever got a job doing one or more of those activities I would likely end up disliking them as well. So rather than wallow in my misery, I look at a job as the activity that facilitates my being able to fulfill my life, not the actual fulfillment of it.

If you look to job in and of itself for the fulfillment of your life's goals, you have reduced yourself to a worker bee's existence.
