Dear OP, I am sorry but this is the type of helpful responses you are going to get from this forum (in addition to the ones you got from the other post).

Can you be more specific?

What is the purpose (use) of the motor that you want to use on your farm? I am sure you are looking for some electric motor. Can you be a bit more specific?

It will be a few HP at the maximum, AC-Induction Motor as far as the type is concerned. I would have preferred (had I been in your shoes) to contact a few electrical dealers and discuss with them about the ratings.

It is obvious that you wont undesrtand the details. However in most of the cases you would like to have some specific protection devices along with may be starters. In case it is low power, may be single phase motors will do. Else you may have to go for 3 phase, and that is provided your farm has the three phase supply.

talk to any local electrical shop/ the equipment on which you want to use it. Either would help you (For first , it is his business, for second it would be to save his equipment)

Go to Global Spec, the kind sponsors of this forum, there is a link button to the upper right of your screen. Search for "electric motor".
