AC Drive

03/18/2011 3:16 AM

hi friends i am facing the below mensioned problems in many ac drives

that is the drives dc bus voltage will present.but its controll voltage (24vdc) which is internally comming from the drive will not present.so the drive will compleatly in dead position.

for ex; i have baldor h2 series vectore drive(cat no:zhh403-E) in this drive dc bus voltage 560vdc is there but its 24vdc is not present.can anyone pls help me what kind of circuitry use to reduce 560vdc to 24vdc and what component failure may cause this problem?

I'm assuming that the input voltage to the drive is AC, and the means of getting 24 VDC is a fairly traditional power supply using either a transformer or a switching power supply.

In the unlikely event that the input to the drive is DC, a switching power supply could still do the job.

What controls the MOSFET?

Control IC is more sensitive to and could have been damaged by transients.

i found the prob in hyperabrupt variactor diode

which was used along with the voltage devider circuit.which gives supply to the pwm ic
