Honda CA160 Restore Part 6

04/01/2011 4:30 PM

I am considering restoration of a CA160 or a CA95.

The two tone color scheme gives the bike a completely different look, Cool!

I am confused however over the model show in the picture when compared to the bike before restoration was started. The finished restore shows a CA95 and the before restore shows a CA160. Did you use parts from two different models?

John, are we supposed to know what you are talking about?

What pictures? Can you show us? We seem to like this sort of project.

[edit] I see I might just as well have copied the post by Tornado. Didn't mean to step on you.

See the pictures below that were copied from the "Honda CA160 Motorcycle - Restoration Part 6 - (Pics)" posted April 10, 2007 by Stilljester.

My question is aimed at finding out if some or all of the components of the two models are interchangeable as I have an opportunity to purchase a rather ratty CA95 with a title and a CA160 without a title but in good condition.

if I have mixed up two differnent comments my apologys to the original , as bike looks very well resored regardless of model.

Before restoration - original CA160

After CA95

Look at the rear suspension supports and the position of the dip stick on the engine which I believe confirm s it is a CA95

I see that CR4 member stilljester has not visited the site since 9 May 2008.

To find the answer for your question, you may simply have to review the entire blog series.

Pretty cool bike project, even if a little bit hybridized by model/year.
