Altitude Attitude Adjustment rev. 1

04/02/2011 9:18 AM

I formed the above title with this thought in mind: I've had people actually get angry over this subject. The attitude adjustment component can be solved, in most cases, by picking up a book, and by being WILLING to learn. However, for some, this is not as easy as it sounds, in my experience. Thank you all for responding. I had anticipated a bit of a fury over this subject. Looks like I was correct.

I think (or at least hope) that I explained the difference between pressure in a closed system versus pressure in an environment that in itself could vary in pressure; and therefore would require a correction. Most of the participants seemed to understand this. However, the point is a bit subtle, and thus subject to cumbersome "explanations" that don't help. The angers you mention seem to stem from weak understandings that in turn may have come from inadequate explanations.

I have felt disgusted with CR 4 many times as responses are not matured and not expressed in a gentlemanly manner. There is arrogance, superiority one tries to express. It must be noted that it is not just words one reads, but even the mental vibrations of the person writing is also transferred through this medium. Here is a collection of great sayings- I have downloaded from CR$ site itself.

The altitude you achieve depends on your attitude

"ABILITY is what you are capable of doing. MOTIVATION determines what you do. ATTITUDE determines how well you do it." -- Lou Holtz

"Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal: my strength lies solely in my tenacity." -- Louis Pasteur

"Talent does what it can; genius does what it must." -- Edward George

Wisdom is knowing what to do next. Skill is knowing how to do it, and virtue is doing it. - David Starr Jordan

"I say luck is when an opportunity comes along and you're prepared for it." -- Denzel Washington

When it is dark enough, you see the Stars.

You're never too old to learn.

In school you get lessons and then take the test... In life, you take the test and then get lessons.

The period of greatest gain in knowledge & experience is the most difficult period in one's life.

"March on. Do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life's path." -- Kahlil Gibran

Man, if this ain't a subject that would take forever to answer. I've worked a full load of part time workers over many years and can put them in categories as to who can go on after the job is completed with a better, higher attitude, but, you have to have the desire and time to work with individuals from where they are and in line with their thinking or brain prosess. The druggies are out, the first plastic sack that blows by the job and they take off running..see them weeks later, they say hows the ole job going. I'm thinking about going back to work. The most easy person with out an attitude is the simple man with no experience but will try to complete any job you give him and grow in attitude and to a level beyond his belief. When the job is over he continues to grow. The most and hardest person to work and change their attitude are the crazies, mind you not to belittle these they can work and produce and get a job completed at the expense of the world. There is one way and its their way and when they are on their medication they can be guided and directed and produce in a way beyond your belief. I've seen men with killer look in their eyes change their attitude to having the ability to slow down and put things in order and leave a job well done and see them weeks later and they say 'Hi', I'm taking my meds, like you said and have a full time job...Any man can change with a hand up and a little 'want to'.
