(Cost to make or recover) x (mark-up multiplier) x (any desired discount multiplier).

[Shouting and naiveté: What a combo!]

Giggle.

First, a basic lesson in internet etiquette. Typing in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS is considered shouting and is considered very rude and insulting. Second, posting multiple threads on a question insults the CR4 forum.

Now the specifics of your questions do require a scientific background to comprehend any answer somebody might provide here. Since you do not have a scientific background, you may not understand any answer as correct or folly. Obviously you intend to make a profit from this endeavor, I recommend that you hire somebody qualified to do your engineering work. This does not have to be a permanent position in your firm, a project related consulting contract will be sufficient to get you operational. (If you do hire a consultant though, I suspect that you will find their knowledge so valuable that you make a full time position for this person.)

Lastly, as a hopeful business man you should understand that the market defines what the price of something should be. Hopefully the price you can sell this or any product will be more than the cost of your manufacturing. If your competitor can successfully sell (with a profit) the same product below your costs to manufacture, you cannot coerce your customers to buy your product at a price that provides you a profit.

Because all-capitals is considered SHOUTING, and rather rude.

It pays to be polite in this world. Take the risk.
