Funnel for Cat or Dog Food Container

Subject: Funnel for Cat or Dog Food Container

Dear Sirs:

Just an idea for replacing a couple of sheets of 8 & l/2 by 11 inch paper attached by scotch tape to form a funnel to help pour a bag of cat or dog food without spilling contents on floor. What are the possibilities of using a thin sheet of plastic and forming a funnel the same way? Velcro could be placed at appropriate locations to replace scotch tape.

PS I would like to send a picture but I forgot how to do this. When I get some time I am sure I could accomplish this.

The possibilities seem fine. ;-)

I have no idea whether something like that has been patented, or if it is patentable.

I'm not sure why or what you are asking.

No picture needed (for me), I use the 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper funnel trick for lots of things.

I find that cardboard works even better, or one of these can be had for 2-3 dollars.

I ALWAYS RECYCLE A PLASTIC BOTTLE TO MAKE FUNNELS.

on another note:

RECENTLY I WAS HANGING UP A CLEAR PLASTIC SHOWER CURTAIN WITH AN IRIDESCENT COATING , LIKE A PRISM ON IT ,ON AN OUTDOOR WINDOW THAT HAD WIND AND SNOW GETTING IN.I USED A PLASTIC BUTTER CONTAINER I HAD RECYCLED AND CUT OUT LITTLE RACING FLAG SHAPES AND DROVE NAILS THROUGH THEM TO MAKE WASHERS SO THE CURTAIN WOULDNT GET RIPPED OUT BY THE WIND .

I WAS ACTUALLY THINKING OF HOW GREAT IT WOULD BE IF CLEAR OUTDOOR TARPS WERE REGULARLY IRIDESCENT TO PROTECT AGAINST UV RAYS.ds

One way to do this would be:

Orient the 8.5 x 11" plastic sheet horizontally ("landscape"). On the front of the sheet (which will become the inside of the funnel), glue a 1" Velcro™ dot in the upper left corner. Flip the sheet over end-for-end. On the back (now front) side of the plastic, glue a 1" x 6" mating Velcro™ strip, running 45° downward from the upper left corner.

The sheet can now be rolled into a funnel of various outlet sizes, with the dot being pressed suitably to the strip.
