Control Valve is Struck Off

can any body explain that an oprater tell you that a control valve is struck off what steps you will take to rectify the problem

1. Check the valve is indeed stuck off and not a disconnected solenoid wire or logic problem.

2. Reroute or shut off the flow to the effected valve (I cannot stress how important this is).

3. Remove the valve and inspect it to find the cause of the sticking (mechanical failure, seal degradation, inadequate maintenance, fouled with solids buildup, etc).

4. Fix problem or replace valve.

Are you a site Process or Maintenance Engineer?

what the hell is this? i do not take a test nor do my home work. i m doing initial training in an organization during my training if i have any confisioun i discuss with this site. if you mind it then sory i will not adsk any question next time. ok?

AOA,

dear first of all we check the mA at positioner,then check the pneumatic positioner out put ,if this side clear then given the maximum pneumatic pressure to actuator .
