Hi Jack...I know that Malaysia have the sales people here but I ma actually looking for other that might have better application then Mittotuyo. Do you have any contacts for other measuring equipment too?

Try Smart Scope. It has many advantages in terms of space, light weight, friendly programming, robust design, after-sales support and the most important the price. It has few sales office in Malaysia.

Just put the word out in your location and suppliers will "come out of the woodwork" trying to convince you of their merit.

Leitz, Brown and Sharpe, Polly, Starrett are a few of the names that come to mind from the last time I went shopping for a CMM. There will undoubtedly be more now, with China and others developing their capabilities.

How big is the machine you are looking for?

Now would be a good time to do a refreseher course on precission, accuracy, repeatability, reliability, linearity and a heap of other measurement concepts so that you understand the jargon that will bombard you in the quotes and equipment specs.

I can only suggest that you prepare a document (like a tender spec) so that all are quoting against the same criteria, otherwise you will face some challenges. Decide on what your minimum criteria are and spec that, then use that criteria for selection and anything extra is a bonus.
