Assuming a conveyor having following pulleys in order as :

1. Drive Pulley ( Discharge also )

2. Drive Snub Pulley

3. Drive end bend pulley

4. Vertical Take up pulley

5. Tail end bend pulley

6. Tail pulley

Where will you fix the speed sensor ? Why ?

It really depends on the application and the precision you require.

Can you provide more information on your application and what the speed measurement is going to be used for (eg- general indication, basic process control, accurate speed control, belt breakage monitoring, etc).
