Voltage Drop Calculation as Per Indian STD

how to calculate the voltage drop as per indian std ,if the cable size is in sqmm.

1. Find the Indian equivalent of British Standard 7671.

2. Apply the contents.

The best way to do it is to do it yourself by starting from the zero ground. Do you have any Indian std there? Where you find you have difficulty, post it up here. With the experience from gurus here, they will help.

Oh! I am sick of answering the same question - possibly to the same person - again & again. Look, Mr. Anonymous, there is an Indian Standard Code of Practice for the Selection, Installation & Maintenance of Electric Power Cables up to 33kV. The Standard No. IS 1255. In this IS, there is a clear Table, which prescribes the maximum permissible volatge drop per km per Ampere for various types & sizes of cables. This should be taken as a guideline & the actual voltage drop in your cable installtion should be calculated accordingly taking the Type, Size, Length & Ampere Loading of the said cable.

Is it OK or do you still want us to spoon-feed you?
