Potential Servo Valve Problem?

05/13/2011 12:39 AM

Hi,

I am using moog servov valve to control opening for my steam turbine throttle valve (TV).

We are getting servo coil output of -112%.

Is it indicating servo failure?

FYI, the throttle valve all of sudden goes to 40% from 100% opening during operations.

What does the original equipment manufacturer's maintenance manual say?

1- it could be a problem of dirt in the valve or an inernal ffed-back not any more active the right way. 2- which type of servo valve from Moog ? send a copy of the way the pilot stage is put on main stage.
