REF_541 Relay Set and Testing

05/13/2011 5:11 PM

I need some help. The REF_541 relay setting programmed to "Very Inverse", but when I go to Doble Protest Program to test the relay, (this is the old relay in service and need to be tested, how do we know which curve to use), The relay test software has options to select and the curves are quite differrent from each other, the options are:

DPU: IEC Very Inverse

DPU: US Very Inverse

IKC911: BS142 very Inverse

MMCO: IEC Very Inverse

REL501_V2: IEC Very Inverse

SPAJ110C: Very Inverse

Choose IEC Very Inverse. You are most likely to be right with ABB make relays. To be sure, you can refer the REF541 relay manual (available in ABB website for free download).
