Timer Circuit

05/19/2011 3:13 AM

Dear all,

Using 555 IC astable circuit is made, which is ON for 1 minute & OFF for 1 minute.

Is it possible to introduce another timer ON for 10 seconds each time when the 555 IC output is ON & OFF( Both time) without using one more IC.

Sorry if my question looks odd.

Please reply if you know how to do it.

You can't do that with a 555. A 556 is a dual version of the 555 and can be used for what you need.

You'd have to say the timing of comments is interesting in itself.

I have a BAD habit of not reading comments before replying. Guilty as charged.

I agree with Perry, best thing to do is to use a 556. I once had some aplication that needed a delay from the clock, I used a RC circuit with extra logic in order to get it, No 556 available at that time.
