Minimum diameter size for pressure vessel as per ASME Code

Dear All,

I would like to know the minimum diameter size for pressure vessel as per BPVC Code.

any suggestion to doubt is much appreciated.

there is no min. size value as per ASME. the formula given in that has to be used to find out the thickness value. refer ASME Sec. 8 div. 1.

The BPV Code may have changed over the years, but I think there used to be a provision that vessels smaller than 6 inches internal diameter were exempt from the Code.

is there any reason to consider the vessel with less than 6 in in diameter as NOT pressure vessel?
