Compression Packing Seal Design

I am trying to design a compression packing seal with graphite packing for a static application. Could anyone please tell me where I can find information on the gland design (i.e. gland depth, taper angle, etc.).

ust about any O-ring manufacturers web site will have gland design information available.

Have you visited any of them, like, maybe Parker? Or, is this your first stop?

Look at existing packing glands of pumps, agitators, etc to det the correct feeling how it should look...
