Timer Switch for a Kite Camera

05/27/2011 8:29 AM

Hello. I was wondering if it would be possible to create a circuit which switches on and off every 10 seconds. It is to act as an automatic switch for a kite camera.

A capacitor and two electromagnetic relays are all that are required.

Electronics make circuits more sophisticated, more repeatable, etc., etc.

I have managed to do it by putting one 0.1 microfarad capacitor across the shutter release wires and it takes a picture every 10 seconds.

Wow.

24 minutes between the first post and the solution, 8 minutes bw PWSlack's response and the solution.

Amazing, the power of CR4 !

Why make one when you can buy it from either Maplins or Radio Shack. works on a 9volt battery and adjustable timing from 0.5 sec to 20 seconds if memory serves we correct.. and is about 30mm by 20mm

I got one from Maplins years ago.... google them!!
