I know for a fact that VCD stands for Venture Capital Device. A VCD is a device for providing legitimacy to speculative investments, government grants or funding. Importantly it must appear to be complex and require much research to provide the proof of concept proto type (which won't work), thus allowing the maximum amount of funds to be sequestered...
AI usually stands for Artificial Intelligence, examples of AI are found in those govermnment departments which approve funding for VCD's...

The full name of the machine is Universal VCD-Sequencer5. This is an Auto Insertion machine which known in short as AI machine. This machine primary function is to insert PTH (Part Through Hole) components into PCB (Printed Circuit Board).
I have 1 unsolve problem with the insertion. After the part insertion, cut & clinch; there was a dented mark at the component lead bend area (lead shoulder). This mark caused by the driver tip. We tried some adjustment in program and the dented mark was reduce. However the mark still visible slightly. Is there any way we can eliminate this problem. I heard that this mark is normal for Auto Insert. Is that statement true?
Yes, some marking of the lead is normal due to the softness of the leads (copper & tin) As long as there is no exposed copper and dent is minimal there should be no problem. IPC will have min. distortion specs. Polishing the driver tips may help a little. Remember even on semi auto lead formers there are tool marks.
