Downloading movies off Bittorrent, especially those still in theaters, is illegal and not appropriate discussion for CR4.

One of the reasons I don't use sites like this, is that it is a great way to pick up malware, viruses, and who knows what. It's cheaper to rent/buy the movie.

The technology is legal. Downloading copyrighted material is not.

Like I mentioned earlier. People, in their excitement over saving a few bucks on a movie or a song, by using these sites, give complete strangers access to their computers. Because of that, other people are happy to use these sites, (and your computer), to pass nasty bugs and viruses around the internet.

While it's unlikely, (but not impossible), that you'll get caught. Eventually you are going to pick up something that you don't want in your computer. This particular movie may be just corrupted.....................or something could be eating away at your hard drive. It's not a risk worth taking when you think about it.

Being the "computer geek" among my circle of friends, I've had the misfortune of cleaning up a lot of infected computers. I can tell you, without any doubt, the worst infections of viruses, malware, etc. were on computers whose owners liked to get "free" content, via torrent, Limewire, and other P2P (Peer-to-Peer) programs. I always un-install these programs, and tell them not to bring it back to me if they are going to use those "tools" again. As has been said, "There's no such thing as a free lunch".

X Men First Class came out 5 days ago. The only way people upload movies this quickly is by attaching to the movie reel or just recording with some sort of video camera. So if it's already online it's in TERRIBLE quality and thus definitely not in HD (red flag number one). Secondly, ripping and uploading HD movies is a relatively old art, and so the formats that are used to do so are very widely known. So you should have no problem opening the file in such programs as VLC Media Player (red flag number two). If you can't spell Hi, named, or first correct you obviously aren't aware enough, competent enough, or capable of knowing the risks associated with downloading illegal content (red flags number three, four, and five). Pay attention, you will get caught. The government has released high quality digital versions of movies shortly after their movie debuts just so that they quickly get an extremely high amount of downloaders (people such as yourself) that they can then track and fine... Like they did with X-Men Origins.
