Radius of Piping Elbow

06/22/2011 9:27 PM

How may I show any regulation for the radius of piping bend for a power plant steam pipe? Is radius based on pipe diameter?

The center-line radius R of welded ells and pipe bends is generally specified as a multiple of the nominal pipe diameter D.

Forged ells include short radius (R = D), long radius (R = 1.5 D), and 3R (R = 3D).
A fairly common pipe bend radius is R = 5D, but other values can be used.

There seems to be a problem here with diction, word usage and English in general.

The poster's phrase "How may I show any regulation" has no meaning to me
