Power Quality, Voltage, Current Monitoring Portable Instruments

06/24/2011 10:34 AM

Looking for some suggestions for equipment to rent to monitor 3phase measurements on wind turbine LVMD components. Ease of use, 1-2 hr measurement storage capacity (per turbine) are some of the main criteria

ElectroRent is one that showed up in KJK's Google search, and which I have used in the past. They have been around for a long time and have good equipment. They have a variety of power measurement instruments available. Check them out.

Don't get the small portable Hioki power meter. It cannot save the harmonics and power factor even if it measures them. It only saves waveforms. The fix memory is not enough. I have been much better served by its big brother with the removable PC memory card.
