Critical Damping Resistamce of CB

06/25/2011 5:34 AM

if the inductance and capacitance of a system are 1H and 0.01uF respectively and the instantanoius value of current is 40KA, the value of the shunt resistance asross the breaker fro critical damping is ?

Well, the description is so meager, that your problem cannot even guessed at. An example: 1 full Henry in a system (what is that?)? What has a current to do with time constant and Q establishing resistances? Is this a homework dreamed up by a professor?
