I suggest you provide a link to where you found the phrase "green shale gas".

I can imagine at least two possible generalized meanings, but could not tell you which is intended without some context.

One meaning might be that it is "environmentally friendly" shale gas. I'm not sure there is such a thing, but it might refer to shale gas that can be extracted with only a well, without such techniques as fracking.

It might also refer to raw share gas--possibly shale gas with some impurities (H2S?) that need to be removed before supplying the gas to a customer for burning.

Let me,

"CHILI CON CARNE" is a substitute for beef hearts.

Eat CHILI CON CARNE tonight, and tomorrow it'll beef hearts.

This may take some cultural interpretation.

Sweet and sour natural gas are the terms typically used to refer to gas befere and after H2S and CO2 have been removed, typically by an amine process. Your term "Green Shale Gas" may refer to this area of natural gas production.
