Bhatti,

Your question is too vague to come up with a viable answer.

Do some research on the internet. You should be able to find what information is required to come up with the correct size.

Try a Google search, here allow me.

Two 500 KVA generators (one as stand by) should do it!

Right now to be sensible:

  • Are there any heavy loads to be started?
  • How critical are the loads
  • Power factor of the load

There's others factors I can't / don't want to think of at the moment, (I've had a few beers). You know the details of the loading we don't. If the load is critical it needs a standby generator. Heavy starting loads require a generator of X% over the base load, depending on the starting characteristics of the load. Power factor is reflected by a higher running current KVAr as to actual theoretical current KW resulting in a higher O/P required at the generator.

A 100KW generator will not supply a 100KW load.

Talk to the generator manufacturers.

Well, (2 x 55kW) + (4 x 7kW) + 1kW is >100kW. Are the big pumps both running at the same time? If so, then the 100kW load figure is too low and a larger generator will be needed.

What about diesel-driven pumps, as an alternative?

You should consider LRC of motors, starting method, whether both starts together etc
