Feeder Installation

There is a 100 m long direct burred feeder supplying 3~ / 380 V / 300 A load . The expected voltage drop VD = ~ 1.5 % at 55 CO ambient temperature .

It could be installed as follows :

- 1 ( 4 x 700 kcmil + # 4 ) one cable run for VD = 1.24 %

- 2 ( 4 x 350 kcmil + # 2 ) two cable runs for ( VD = 1.51 % )

- 3 ( 4 x 350 kcmil + 1/O ) three cable runs for ( VD = 1.51 % )

What is the best and most economical run to use regarding material cost , labor , flexibility and reliability .
