Just put a blocking rectifier between the motor and the battery, so that the current only flows from the motor to the battery. Once the correct polarity has been established, spinning the motor in the correct direction, assuming it is a permanent magnet motor of course, will charge the battery.
And this is hardly "new technology", though it might be called "research" on a personal level.

Gustave; connect the motor to the A.C. terminals of a full wave rectifier, connect the
plus of the rectifier to the plus of the batteries, i don't know where you would get the 60 amps! perry
