LRFD AND ASD calculations(URgent)

hey

i am doin lrfd and asd calculation to determine base seizes, however am using metric unit and am getting weird answers. i know with imperial you used kips, inches etc , what units should i use (metric) to get proper solutions? Or is there a diiferent formular for metric units?

....revise back to units conversions,if formulas needs imperial measures inputs then convert what you have and work it out......

Before using metric units, please perform an acronymectomy procedure.

Hi there, your calculation results (Wierd) seems to be stemming from improper unit conversions and or improper dimentioning of the units. I recommend that you use MathCad. Basically the formulae are same there cant be a different formula for a different unit system (FPS, CGS, or MKS). Take care that you may be using a force unit as pressure. When using MathCad please use force units as Eg. kgf for kilogram force else you will have Wierd results. Hope that helps.
