Go to the manufacturer's web site.

Or, Measuring Stuff with a Multimeter - For Dummies This may not be specific enough.

Or other help site on the web.

Or if you have a specific question, please give the make and model # of your unit.

I have the same problem, don't use one enough to even be dangerous.

Robert,

Welcome to CR4!

Go to Google and in the search pane enter the manufacturer's name and model number as they appear on your meter and click "Google Search".

You should find all the help you need.

I'm willing to trade my personal meter for a Beckman. Mine has very low miles and has rarely been used. Notice spiffy AC/DC selections.

Are you sure that wasn't your grandfather's Fredski !!

OP, most meters have very similar functions; if you know how to use one you can use most. Some of the newer ones can connect to your laptop and do some pretty neat (and mostly not necessary) things. The one that Fredski has pictured will do 95% of what most technicians will ever need one to do.

Yeah, I'm tight too, but you just gotta upgrade your scope,
