Magnetic Field

07/25/2011 2:07 PM

I am working on a project where i need to be able to detect whether a magnet is broken or not inside a molded part. Is there such sensor that can detect it or any mechanism that i can use to detect it?

Thanks

Hall sensors http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hall_sensor can detect magnetic fields, but depending on how strong the field is, they might need to be very close.

Assuming the molded part has a low permeability, try this.
