Hi everyone.

I wanted to know information about how hydrogen cars work and what's the working principle of it.

Combustion: 2H2 + O2 → 2H2O + heat. Hydrogen is fuel, much the same as gasoline, diesel oil, or propane. There are differences in mixing (carburetion/injection) and fuel storage techniques. I understand that Iceland already has one or more hydrogen fueling stations, but I don't know how well they have caught on.

Current efforts are towards making hydrogen fuel cell technology (direct transformation of hydrogen chemical oxidation to electric power) more effective and affordable. Prime movers for hydrogen cars are electric motors using that electric power. I don't expect it to compete with convensional technology any time soon, because of the additonal storage difficulties of hydrogen, so I wouldn't buy any related stocks.(LOL) S.M.

LynDoor™ Industries, Visionary Futures Division® is currently developing a perpetual energy generator that will render all other methods of power generation obsolete. Not only that, but nobody will need them any more.

Using electrical power generated by the engine, water is broken down into hydrogen and oxygen. Then the hydrogen is injected into the engine and mixed with oxygen, where it burns and makes the car go. The resulting water vapor is captured and reused by the system.

Once we figure out how to recapture the waste heat of combustion, the only problem left to solve is the reduction of friction to zero in the system.

Then, with just a half pint of water, you can generate all the clean energy you will ever need to power your home, car, airplane, train, business and even your girl friend's apartment.

LynDoor™, through the wormhole and into the future. (All rights reserved)

Vvteja....

Any serious discussion of "hydrogen powered cars" leads into a discussion of how these proposed vehicles fit into a "hydrogen economy". Hydrogen is produced from plants with excess generation capacity and distributed as a fuel to vehicles

All of the scientific principals are well known, and, to the best of my knowledge, there is not much of an opportunity for revolutionary "breakthroughs" that wil change everything.

Safe storage of hydrogen in a vehicle is a real challenge. The possibility of lots of very exciting automotive crashes is something to look forward toward.

Look for hydrogen fuel cells generating electricity an utilizing waste heat ( say, for building heating) a long time before hydrogen powered cars.

Thank you sir. But i have a doubt. If hydrogen, while coming in contact with air, explodes, then why do we use it as an upcoming technology if its not safe? i know that Hydrogen car generates the water vapor as the exhaust and it is really an eco friendly technology. But the customer's safety is very much required right? then how are the upcoming models of the hydrogen cars develop technologies for the safe storage of hydrogen?

Kindly also clarify how do we give signals for the steering, brakes, etc in a Hydrogen wire car.

"If hydrogen, while coming in contact with air, explodes"

It only explodes if there is an ignition source.

ok. Then what about the steering mechanism used in the cars?

We don't have an IC enginer kind of mechanism here.

So the whole controls changes right, how do we control the car, and its acceleration?

The same way it is done now, on some vehicles. It's called drive-by-wire.

My God! Have you no capacity to search? Do you want us to cut the top of your head open and fill it with knowledge?
