Bladder Accumulator Options

My company provided a high pressure, high temp API centrifugal pump application that will run with a plan 53B double mech seal. I am planning to use an accumulator with a bladder as the seal pot to avoid N2 degassing on the seal chamber.

Does anyone have experience with this seal? Thinking of using this bladder accumulator
as suggested by a new friend. Second opinions anyone?

The link didn't work. Not everyone may be familiar with a "53B" seal; could you describe it in more detail? What is the issue with "N2 degassing on the seal chamber"?

Curious why you think you need an accumulator with a centrif pump. Output should not be pulsating.

I'm not fully sure of the layout, but I don't think the accumulator goes in the pump discharge line. Instead, I suspect it may be a reservoir for the isolating fluid in a double shaft seal (if that's what #53 means).

If the pump circulates fluid in a closed loop, there may be an expansion tank, which could be another context for the term "accumulator."

Awaiting clarification from the OP....

Please refer: Figure 9, 10 and 11 respectively for Plan 53A, 53B and 53C.

Plan 53B necessarily calls for Bladder Accumulator. The type you have sighted should be fine, if the properly sized. Seal supplier is sure to guide you on the brand, model and size of the suitable accumulator for the type of seal under consideration.

The bladder has to be pre charged with Nitrogen at higher pressure (say20 to 60 psi) over the pressure at the seal chamber throat bushing. If the Nitrogen pressure is too, less than 20 psi, unpressurised duel seal operation would result, if too high, 60 psi or above, the seal will run hot and may fail prematurely
