Welding

i have to arc weld 1mm GI sheet on MS plate 2mm thickness. Pl advise, how and what size welding rod should be used

You'll need to use the smallest rod you can find on the lowest power setting you have.

Although I believe that you are doomed to failure after reading some of your previous posts, don't breathe the fumes if you try to do this.

I am constantly amazed amused bewildered by the questions asked here by posters such as yourself. Maybe that's just part of the entertainment value of this site.

Zinc fumes are very hazardous, and the welding will destroy the protection offered by the zinc coating in the region of any weld.

What about rivets, screws and nuts, or adhesives instead?

You would be better off to MIG or TIG this material. It sounds as though you don't know enough about ARC welding (or any other type of welding) to attempt this project. Sorry to be so blunt but you are going to ruin your material if you try to do this work yourself.
