Induction Motor

Can an induction motor work by an input voltage of 48volt by suitablly maintaining the thickness of stator ?

? Why not? and for that why should you adjust stator? You should maintain the load.

There seems to be some confusion. Pulse width modulation is a common way of altering the speed of DC motors. Varying the frequency is applicable to AC motors.

How can we accelerate and decelerate an ac Traction motor by using an inverter?

It would be better to use a variable speed drive.
