Extuded Shapes of Aluminum and Nickle Silver

08/12/2011 2:40 PM

I am trying to find a supplier for 1/2 round aluminum and nickel silver. I have a special need in restoration of antique auto's and I am having an extremely difficult time locating a manufacturer to purchase from. Does anyone know who to contact

You might try Aluminum Extrusions Warehouse - EXTRUDE - A - TRIM (not an endorsement)

I have no clue where to find Ni/Ag extrusions.

Yarde Metals on the Al

https://www.yarde.com/catalog/class1rdbr.html

Ni extrusions may be a lot tougher

I would suggest starting for both @ Amazon, especially if you only need very small qty's - down-side is you may not get Cert's if they are needed

Best of Luck

Call me crazy, but why not buy full round extrusions (cheaper and readily available) and have them slit? Or, is there more to the story?

Just to make things clear, Nickel Silver is an alloy of Nickel and Copper. It is also called German Silver. It does not contain any Ag.

Try Restoration Supply Company www.restorationstuff.com they have 1/2 round aluminum. They also have some German silver stuff. They said in their catalog if you could not find something you needed to give them a call.

Good luck, let us know of any sources that you find.

Thanks
